Lego Pirates Islanders Minifigures from Enchanted Island Set 6292

These six Lego minifigures were those originally featured in the 2001 Lego Pirates Enchanted Island Set 6292. The set contained a total of 419 pieces and these minifigures, seen here complete the set along with the islanders canoe. The minifigures shown here with the original minifigure accessories of brown spears, shields, a bow quiver, headdresses with feathers and bones, musket, bandana, bow and arrow and sword. 

The minifigure with the headdress is King Kahuka and was featured in numerous sets including the earlier 1994 Enchanted Island Set; the 2001 set being a re release of its predecessor seven years earlier. 

Lego used many of the original molds in recasting the reissued set, however the mold for part 6030, King Kahuka Mask had to be remade. The original mold was found to have a hairline crack having been damaged whilst being loaded from the mold storage facility at the Lego factory onto a transport cart. The molds cost many tens of thousands of pounds to create and weigh up to a quarter of a ton (250KG). The damaged mold and the need to replace it put the release of the reissued set back by a total of 8 months.
